HOW TO USE OILS FOR HORMONES

We allll have hormones, and I think most of us know how much our hormones affect our everyday life -am I right?! So let's chat about the many natural ways you can support them and make an actual difference that you can feel & your spouse will likely thank you for!

HORMONE OVERVIEW-
There are many many things that affect your hormones, like your diet, your stress, your lifestyle, etc. Cleaning up your diet by eating mostly organic and avoiding using anything with "fragrance" or "triclosan", both being major endocrine disruptors, is a great way to start. Also, all those plug-ins and perfume bottles...yup, throw them out and use your oils and diffuser instead!

MAIN HORMONE PROTOCOL-
  • There are many things you can use, but one of the popular protocols can be found in the book Taming the Dragon Within (which I highly recommend, easy read!) here it is:
  • clary sage on the first 14 days of your cycle (your cycle begins when your period starts or on the new moon if you do not have a cycle)
  • progessence plus on the second 14 days of your cycle
THYROID SUPPORT-
Two of the major thyroid supplements that many use and see a major difference with are endoflex essential oil blend and thyromin. Here's a bit about each:
  • Endoflex - it’s a mix of Spearmint, sesame seed oil, Sage, Geranium, Myrtle, German Chamomile and nutmeg...all oils known to help regulate your thyroid. It helps with energy levels as well.
  • Thyromin - a supplement you take daily that contains porcine glandular extracts, including thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary. It also contains amino acids that balance the immune system and reduce inflammation. In addition, Thyromin supplies a hefty dose of iodine from kelp to support the thyroid.
